First and foremost, I'm a writer.

It’s what I love. I write with intelligence, skill and versatility. My work is creative, inspiring and emotive. I can make you feel invigorated, sublime, vulnerable, adrenalized, loved. And I can adapt my style to click with any audience.

But I'm also an ideas man with a conceptual head on my shoulders.

I love crafting big ideas with even bigger ambitions. But there’s nothing better than a small idea with heart. Advertising is best when it speaks a truth we all recognise. Copy should tell a story, however short.

Advertising and marketing are where I feel most at home.

After seven years in the industry, I have strong agency, freelance and in-house experience. This covers above and below the line, integrated global campaigns, TV, print, digital, thought-leadership, editorial, social and even a bit of radio. So, that’s more than a little of everything.

I’ve worked with some of the best global, national and independent brands spanning a whole range of sectors.

Lately, I’ve been working with mostly financial services brands but I’ve done loads in travel, consumer goods and more. I’ve written B2B and B2C. But hey, it’s all human-to-human in the end. And don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

I love working in partnership with an art director but am equally happy on my own.

And I’m as good at giving direction as taking it. Plus, I thrive on collaboration with designers (from print to UX and everyone in between), art workers, planners, photographers, producers and directors. And that’s not to mention account directors and clients.

I'm the hands-on kind of creative.

I went to art college, so I have a strong visual eye. I’ve inspired great performances from screen and voice actors on location and in the studio and worked with award-winning photographers and directors. I’ve run shoots, cast models, scouted locations and sourced music.

I win pitches, charm clients and leave account directors with a huge grin on their face.

All that plus I’m deft with a razor-thin deadline and can work at near lightning pace.
